AMSA

The Krems Local Committee (LC) of the Austrian Medical Students' Association (AMSA) was founded in 2018 as the first bilingual – German-English – committee and has grown steadily ever since. Today, it is one of the most active local committees of the AMSA and stands for active commitment, team spirit and international openness.

Students at KL University are involved in a wide range of initiatives to take on social responsibility: the Teddy Bear Hospital Krems provides child-friendly health education, the Tobacco Education Programme is aimed at young people as a preventive measure, and the Achtung Liebe Team deals with topics related to sexuality and relationships with sensitivity and expertise.

In addition, LC Krems regularly organises social and educational projects such as House vs. Prof and Boxmas. The international exchange programmes SCOPE and SCORE enable students to gain worldwide experience in clinical and scientific internships – and at the same time welcome guest students to Lower Austria.

LC Krems impressively demonstrates how students take responsibility and shape community – both locally and globally.
